A huge part of the business relied on VAIO PC sales and customized orders were vital to the company’s success. This entire experience was rebuilt from the ground up based on feedback from customers, product groups, and site analytics.
Once a customer selected “Customize” on the product page, they were taken to an interstitial page where they would begin to build their PC.
Key Configurator Updates:
Color chips and gallery tab which changed depending on customer selection.
“Learn more” links that expanded to reveal additional information about respective spec or feature.
Tabbed navigation so shoppers could revisit sections during their order.
Itemized cart that updated in realtime.
Inclusion of customer service chat and call center information in cart.
